Creative ProcessThe shop is a workroom as well as a gallery for finished products. Shelves and cubbyholes overflow with a multitude of vintage fabrics as well as ribbon for trim to complete the shades. ![]() Vintage fabric panels are prepared for the hex bell wire frame. ![]() Fabric panels are each marked for the perfect snug fit. ![]() Fabric panels are trimmed for each frame. ![]() A thin bead of glue is applied to the wire frame, preparing it for the fabric panel. ![]() Grosgrain trim is applied to the top and bottom of the shade. ![]() The grosgrain ribbon is worked around the edges of the frame for a snug fit. ![]() Vintage fabric trim is prepared for the shade. Contrasting trim often adds visual interest to the design. ![]() The trim is then applied around the edge. The finish work is always the hardest part of the job. ![]()
